Greeneville, Tennessee - Donaldson
Company, Inc. has announced it will relocate three production lines
from an out-of-state facility and expand the current facility in
Greene County. Randy Rumbley, Board Chairman for the Greene County
Partnership, applauded Donaldson Company Inc.'s decision to expand
and add 90 new jobs.
"Approximately two months ago the Greene County
Partnership was contacted by Donaldson Company, Inc. concerning
the possibility of expansion and additional jobs at the Greeneville
facility. Donaldson was considering two other locations in addition
to Greeneville for this development. The Partnership worked in concert
with the State of Tennessee, Greene County Government, Greeneville
City Government and the local Industrial Development Board to put
together a proposal for the expansion and jobs to come to the Greeneville
facility. This teamwork and the positive things our community has
to offer has resulted in the addition of much needed jobs to our
area," said Rumbley.
The facility in Greeneville manufactures air filtration
systems for large trucks and for farm and construction equipment.
They currently employ 98 people. With the new expansion they plan
to increase 40 people this year and an additional 50 over the next
two years, increasing their employment from 98 to 188 by 2012. This
also represents an estimated $2 million investment in the Greeneville
facility.
